The project won the first prize of China power science and technology award in 2009, and the first prize of National energy administration science and technology progress award in 2010.
Huanghua phase II project is the first 10,000t/d class MED domestically constructed project in China. SEC was responsible for design and manufacture of the main equipment, complete set supplying, installation and commissioning. The project successfully reached design capacity on December 9, 2008, and all the performance parameters were in accordance with the design requirements, which marked a significant breakthrough for manufacturing of MED desalination device in China. Shanghai Electric has issued the design and manufacturing enterprise standard, formed the design and manufacturing system of complete sets of main equipment, and quality assurance system through the project implementation.
According to client’s calculation of the measured data, the CAPEX of Phase II project has been reduced by 34,670,000 CNY, dropped by 28%, and specific cost of distillate has been reduced by 1.19 Yuan, dropped by 26% compared to the imported equipment used in Phase I project, which obtained remarkable economic benefits.
